FAQs
Do I still need the Rebel Press if I already have the rock chucker?
The purchase of the Rebel press will not make a significant difference to your current RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme in terms of precision reloading and reload quantity. The standard deviation between the rounds will decrease giving more accurate shots.
Is Rebel Press better than Rock Chucker?
Yes. It is stabler, has a lower standard deviation from the bullseye, and is an excellent upgrade to Rock chucker.
Good review. I’ve had the RCBS Rebel for over a year now, and have no complaints. I do disagree, however with three of your “Cons” about the Rebel. First, “There’s no on-press priming.” Very few handloaders used that system anyway. The thing was just in the way. Next, “No quick die-changing system.” You hit that in your review. Just something RCBS does not do, but Hornady, and Lee will take our money, and it works on the Rebel. Lastly, “Relatively heavy (22 lbs).” That is the point. It was designed that way, and is supposed to be heavy. A big factor when I chose the Rebel, in fact.
Thanks again for the review.
